Hi there,
Welcome back! I am so happy to see you! I thought it may be worth it to go over my rating system, just so when you see my first review you know exactly where I’m coming from!
I like to review products on a star system; I feel that it is an oversimplified system that allows me to get my point across without ranting for. ever. Here’s how it works:
5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ = I DO NOT UNDERSTAND HOW I EVER LIVED WITHOUT THIS PRIOR TO TRYING IT. I am already on Amazon, with 7 in the cart and 5 on my face. I. CANNOT. GET. ENOUGH.
4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ = Majority of the components about this product or trend was so satisfying BUT there is that oneeeee little glitch. A little glitch for me means: outrageous costs for shipping/ inability to easily access the item, too expensive to afford regularly purchasing (>$100.00/month), or something that is a small unpredictable but may hinder me from using again.
3 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ = I felt indifferent about the purchase. The product or trend* wasn’t intolerable, but I didn’t feel, ya know, ooshy gushy about it. I don’t know what to call it other than a “trend” if it’s not a “lifestyle activity” or something ridiculous.
2 stars ⭐️ ⭐️ = I think you get it. I semi didn’t like it. But there’s a little give there… perhaps the learning curve was too long/complicated and not worth it, pricey, etc.
1 star ⭐️ = 😔 Why you put this on market tho? Why you make me look and feel like fool on Instagram tryna use dis? HOWEVER, I saw where you were coming from, I feel your intentions, and there was one little quality that I could see a very particular person using and enjoying.
0 stars = Yeah. That can happen. I’ve never given 0 stars BUT, if I’m actually insulted purchasing something you’ll be the first to know. That big fat, 0. Sorry br0. Don’t play me tho!
*Trend (in my jargon): I mean something like, Soulcycle, Kayla Itsine’s workout app., HelloFresh, Barry’s Bootcamp, etc. Something you go out of your house to do or intentionally make a habit with it to enhance your lifestyle.
Having that said, just please be aware that though I try so honestly to stay unbiased and objective, I am a middle class, 27 year old, white, 5’2″, blonde, living in Chicago and I have off days where I come home and the only thing that’s going to get ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ is a bottle of ice cold La Marca Prosecco. Yeah, that link takes you directly to Amazon’s wine store. I’m just saying, we all have off days and please don’t take everything I say on here as fact, though it is my promise to you, that I will always:
- Try a trend for at least 30 days (I really feel this is how long it takes to see any type of results if it’s fitness, health, wellness, beauty amplifying etc. related).
- Try a product for at least 3 weeks (if it’s a hair mask, for example, and it says to try twice a week– you have my word, I will give it at least 3 shots to work it’s magic).
BEFORE I write a review.
If you follow my Instagram I like to post a lot of things in #mystory to show the process on a daily basis.
Please e-mail me if anything has caught your eye lately to try: glamorgrit@gmail.com.
Thank you for reading.
I love you.
